Vineyard

The last three days I have been pruning grapes. There is about 1 acre of Marechal Foch, 18 rows 60-90 feet long spaced at 6 feet. Foch is a dark red wine, very dry and full bodied. The vines are about 10 years old, so this year I am pruning for production. In past years I have been limiting each vine to 8 fruiting canes, and 4 buds per cane. This year I am leaving 7-8 buds per cane for greater production now the vines are old enough, and large enough.

Tapir

Tapir is the next one on the turntable, an odd animal that enjoys sitting and sunning themselves in the morning.

Welcome

Today on the mountain ceramic molds are being made of an old western town, for fish aquariums. There is a saloon, with windows and door that will be opened up so the fish can swim inside, and a Jail with a hole in the cell so the fish can get in and be seen behind bars, then escape through the hole. There is a hitching post and a cactus as well.
